Just wondering if you guys have (and are willing to discuss) an upgrade timeline for FoxEE to the EE2.0 platform given that Ellis Lab has announced a release date of December 1st for EE 2.0?

Hi, we do not have a exact date specified but we are planning a Dec. Release. The only thing that would hold us back is we want 2.0 to have and use a new subscription API that FoxyCart is currently working on.

But we are on track to release a updated version of foxee along with EE’s update.

I was curious because I’m working on a project now that is going to use FoxEE though I’m not at the point of implementing yet and I was just curious about what, if any, differences I would encounter with tags or will that aspect of the module remain the same?

All of Foxee’s tags will be the same except for the change of the channel (weblog) tag. You shouldn’t have any problems if you design it in 1.6 ten upgrade. The only major difference is going to be the subscription API but the tags will all remain the same and maybe some new ones will be added.

How goes progress with Foxee 2.0. very keen to see some progress in the area.

We are not going to release a build for EE 2.0 until it is out of beta. At this time they have not announced a firm date for 2.1. Hopefully that will change next week at the EECI.

We have a beta version of foxee 2 in testing so after EE 2.1 is available it will not take long to release foxee 2.
