I need some way of adding a purchase to a members account manually without them actually going through the checkout and payment process. Is this possible, I don’t seem to be able to find any such option in the CP although there is the option to edit existing orders.

If this isn’t possible then I’m guessing I might need to build a bespoke module to facilitate this which inserts the relevant data into the Foxee tables.

Thanks.

Hi Nathan,

Depending on what you are trying to accomplish there are a couple ways to do this. The easiest would be to create a new product or change the price of an existing product to zero and process the order for the user. This is specially helpful if you are trying to assign a downloadable item.

Reprocessing a order allows you to add items to an existing order and will not send it through to payment.

Hope this helps

Hi Mike, thanks for this… where do I find the option in the CP interface to process and order for a user? Do they have to first proceed to the checkout stage in order that an unfulfilled order is created? Sorry bit confused!

foxee does not have a way to process new orders for individuals. You would have to enter the order in the front end templates for the customer, making sure you are not logged in and your cookies are cleared.

If this is an existing customer and you want to make a NEW order for them then use EE’s feature to log-in as that member on the front-end and complete their order.

If this customer has already ordered and you need to add to it, change it or anything else then you can use Foxee’s re-process feature to accomplish that.

Hi there, I tried this but Foxee doesn’t seem to create an order in the backend despite proceeding to the Foxee checkout page, I assumed this would be the case and that I would then be able to mark the order as complete through the control panel. Am I missing something? smile
