Is it possible to create a custom sort order using the FoxEE_Price custom field (as it would be if ti were a generic Expression Engine field) - i.e should:

Print out a listing sorted with the highest price - down to the lowest price?

I’m parsing the code - and it is affecting the sort order - but it doesn’t seem to relate to the price entered into the FoxEE tab within the control panel when adding or editing an entry?

Hi James,

Currently you can not orderby a foxee variable. We are currently looking into a solution, in the mean time using the reeorder plugin may help.

Hmm - not sure the Reeorder plug in would be the right solution - as that still wouldn’t be able to interrogate the Foxee fields would it?

My hunch is its probably best to get the client to enter the price in twice - once in Foxee and once in a custom field - and then sort based on the custom field - not the nicest solution (in case the client changes the price in foxee and forgets to update it in the custom field - but thats all i’ve got - unless you have any other suggestions (or does the Reeorder plug in interrogate the foxee fields?

the reeorder module will let you effect the weblog you select for your products, so you could easily put them in any order you want.

Hi Mike - thanks for the tip - although opening up the ordering to the plugin will (if I understand the implications of using the plug in) mean that the client will need to do alot of custom sorting.

I think for the moment i’ll just have two price fields as its not that hard to keep both populated (and keep an eye out for when we can interrogate the fields within Foxee.
