Undefined variable error and missing language file error

I am getting a when accessing the Resources Module from the Module Control Panel.

Notice: Undefined variable: to in ...(system)/modules/resources/mcp.resources.php on line 1928

Also getting a a missing language file error when clicking the next pagination link in the modules control panel.

I am using Resources 1.9 and don’t have foxee cart installed?

Mod rewrite issue I think

Aloha,

Here is what is happening. When I log into my member area I get the following link:
http://www.DomainName.org/S=871a663c10cf7acf560d95469319b1787dee9fc4/board/

Once I click my download link I get:
http://www.DomainName.org//S=871a663c10cf7acf560d95469319b1787dee9fc4/?ACT=36&resource_id=3

If I add in index.php after the domain name the file gets downloaded as expected.

here is the mod rewrite I am using in my htaccess file:

RewriteCond %{QUERY_STRING} ^(css=.*)$ [NC]
RewriteRule ^(.*)$ /index.php?/%1 [L]

I even added my resource test directory “stuff”

Not sure what is going on. My guess is that the mod rewrite needs to be modified. But, I am lacking in my server side skills.

Any thoughts and ideas are greatly appreciated.

Upgrade to 1.8 broke my template

So this no longer works in v1.8 in my template:

Reverted back to 1.6 and it works. Did I miss something?

User Permissions + Downloadables

Hey ya’ll,
I came across an interesting issue today that I can’t seem to find an answer to in the forums.

I’m wondering if there’s a relationship between a user’s permission (or security level) and their ability to attach downloadables to a product entry?

Basically, I (as a super admin) have been able to add downloadables, but my client (an admin with almost universal access) hasn’t been able to. Is there a setting I should be looking for?

No Download in IE 7/8 on https site

Hi Mike

The updated 1.8 from Monday did solve some of the issues we had. Thanks a lot.

But we have still a problem with IE 7 and IE 8. And I guess it has to do with the fact that our site is a https: site. All member group levels get a windows error message. As I run German Windows I can only supply a translated form of the message which goes like this:
Could not open the Internet page. It is either not available or could not be found. Try again later.

From my research I found suggestions that it has to do with a setting in IE options. Something like this in English: Don’t save encrypted pages on media.
The checkbox on this setting is not activ. But that doesn’t change a bit.

I guess if you check the module on a https site you will not be able to download either. Safari, Chrome, Opera and FF will do.

It would be a great relief for us if that problem finds a solution.

Resources 1.8 Language file

Just downloaded Resources 1.8

The language file included is for the foxee module language file, not the resources.

Since I’m updating from 1.6, I don’t think I need it, but you never know.

On the Resources tab, can I get a column for the Resource Group an item is assigned to? In between Title and Owner would be perfect.

I create a new group for each of my clients and then upload a file and assign it to that group. It’d be helpful to see right with all resources which one is assigned to which client. Especially since I will have duplicate titles.

For example, “March 2010 Statement” could be a common title for all clients.

EDIT: I did just notice the link when on the Resource Groups tab to “View Items in Group” - that’s helpful. That’s one way to filter the list at least.

Groups vs Private

I’m trying to create 2 columns of resource documents. 1 column is for forms that should be visible to all of my “Clients” member group. The other column is for documents that should only be visible to a particular member.

I set up a Resource group called General Client Forms. I give Download/View permission to Owner and Group, but only select the member group Clients and do not add any individual members.

I set up another Resource group for my test client called John Smith. I give Download/View permission to Owner and Group too. (It would seem that I should set that to only owner, but I want my admin to upload files for the client.) I don’t select any groups and only select the member this group should be for.

My code for the Group forms column is:

I create 2 test resources: 1 test document is for the General Forms resource group. 1 test document is for the John Smith resource group.

The problem is that my 2 test documents appear in both columns.

In some tests, for the John Smith resource group, I uncheck the Group permissions, then the file doesn’t show up in either list. The system won’t let me uncheck the Owners boxes, so I can’t test that.

What am I missing?
